Get found — by Google, by AI, and by your customers.
Roving Leads helps you show up where customers search: Google, maps, local listings, and AI answer engines. We separate first-month cleanup from monthly management so you are not gaming a cheap retainer for a pile of rescue work.
What this service actually covers.
This is a monthly retainer that combines technical SEO, on-page SEO, local SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and ongoing blog content — researched, written, optimized, and published to your site. Content is included. There are no per-post fees.
Most SEO agencies in LA charge $1,500–$5,500 a month and quietly bill content separately at $200–$500 per post. Roving Leads keeps the scope plain: cleanup and setup are priced honestly first, then monthly management covers the ongoing work inside the plan we agree to.
The other thing most agencies aren’t doing yet: optimizing for AI search. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google’s AI Overviews are increasingly where customers find businesses. Showing up there isn’t the same as showing up on Google’s blue-link page — it requires different content structure, schema, and citation patterns. Roving Leads does both.
Whatever platform your site runs on — WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, or custom — we plug in and start. If your platform is holding you back, we’ll tell you honestly and help you migrate.
Three search worlds. We work in all three.
Traditional Google search
- Blue-link results, image packs, map packs
- Driven by keywords, backlinks, and content depth
- Still where most local searches start
- Local SEO — Google Business Profile, citations, reviews
- Where every business needs to show up first
Generative Engine Optimization
- Getting cited by AI search — Perplexity, You.com, ChatGPT search
- Driven by content authority, schema, and quotable structure
- Most agencies aren’t doing this yet
- Citation-worthy content beats keyword-stuffed content
- Where forward-thinking businesses are showing up first
Answer Engine Optimization
- Getting your business surfaced in AI assistant answers
- Driven by definition blocks, FAQ schema, and direct answers
- Optimized for “what is X,” “how do I Y,” “best Z near me”
- Featured snippets, voice search, AI Overviews
- Where customers ask AI before they ask Google
Built for businesses that need to be found.
Good fit
- Service businesses that depend on local search (med spas, auto body shops, plumbing companies, pet groomers, tutoring centers)
- Owners tired of paying per-post fees that add up faster than results
- Sites that have content but aren’t ranking
- Businesses watching competitors get cited by AI search and not understanding why
- Anyone whose current SEO agency stopped sending reports six months ago
Not a fit
- E-commerce stores needing product-page SEO at scale (different specialty)
- Businesses expecting page-1 rankings in 30 days (real SEO takes 4–6 months minimum)
- Anyone who wants 50 cheap posts a month — we write fewer, better ones
Everything under one retainer.
Keyword research & content strategy
Roving Leads maps what your customers actually search, what your competitors rank for, and what AI search engines cite. Then we build a 3-month content calendar around it.
SEO blog posts — included
Researched, written in your voice, optimized for search, and published. The number per month depends on your tier — but it’s never billed separately.
Technical SEO assessment & fixes
Site speed, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, XML sitemaps, internal linking, broken links, indexation issues. We fix what we find.
On-page optimization
Existing pages get titles, meta descriptions, headings, schema, and internal links updated. The pages you already have start ranking better — not just the new ones.
Generative Engine Optimization
Content structured to be cited by Perplexity, ChatGPT search, and AI Overviews. Schema, quotable answers, citation-friendly formatting. Most agencies skip this.
Answer Engine Optimization
Definition blocks, FAQ schema, direct-answer formatting. Designed to surface in AI assistant answers and featured snippets.
Local SEO
Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, location pages for the cities you serve, review strategy, NAP consistency.
Monthly reporting
Rankings, traffic, citations, AI search visibility. Plain English. What we did, what worked, what we’re doing next.

What this looks like in real businesses.
Local + AEO push
Local SEO overhaul, six-month content calendar around seasonal HVAC questions homeowners actually search, FAQ schema and definition blocks on every service page. Started ranking on AI Overviews for two long-tail queries by month four.
→ 3.1x organic traffic in 6 monthsDestination content + local SEO
Built location pages for weddings and corporate retreats, monthly blog cadence around “things to do” guides that link back to booking. Map-pack visibility for three event-related queries by month three.
→ 2.8x organic booking inquiriesGEO-first content strategy
Published definitive guides on ADU regulations, coastal building permits, and modern remodel costs. Citation-worthy structure throughout. First Perplexity citations by month two, AI Overview appearances by month five.
→ 8 AI-search citations in 5 monthsSetup first, then management. That keeps pricing honest.
Cleanup before management
Most sites need first-month cleanup before ongoing management makes sense. Technical issues, Rank Math basics, schema, local signals, titles, service pages, GBP, and indexing problems should be fixed before we pretend a monthly content plan will solve everything.
- First-month setup/cleanup is scoped separately from monthly management
- Content can be included in monthly management — no surprise per-post billing inside the agreed scope
- Month-to-month — no contracts, cancel anytime
- You pay your hosting and tools directly. No markup. Ever.
- Real SEO results take 4–6 months minimum — we tell you that upfront
- Typical monthly range: $1,500–$4,999/mo after setup
WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, custom — we work with whatever your site runs on. If your platform is limiting your SEO potential, we’ll tell you honestly.
We can handle just the technical SEO, on-page optimization, GEO, and AEO without writing your posts. The retainer scopes around what you actually need.
SEO & content management across the South Bay.
The South Bay is a string of tight-knit cities where most customers search with a city name attached. “Plumber Redondo Beach,” “med spa Manhattan Beach,” “accountant Torrance.” If your business doesn’t show up in the map pack and local results for the cities you actually serve, you’re handing those calls to whoever does.
We live here. We know that Hermosa and Manhattan Beach are two different markets despite being a mile apart. We know El Segundo pulls aerospace and tech traffic that Gardena never sees. We know Palos Verdes searchers skew high-income and research-heavy while Torrance is volume-driven. That local knowledge shapes the keyword strategy, the content angle, and the citation sources we target for every client.
What local SEO looks like for South Bay businesses
Full setup or cleanup — categories, services, attributes, photos, posts, Q&A, and product listings. We keep it updated monthly, not just at launch. GBP is the single highest-leverage local ranking factor and most profiles are half-finished.
Not thin doorway pages stuffed with a zip code. Real pages with unique content about the area, the customers there, and why your service fits. One page per city, each targeting that city’s local search intent. This is how a Redondo Beach business also shows up in Torrance, Hermosa, and El Segundo.
Your business name, address, and phone number need to match everywhere — Yelp, Apple Maps, Bing Places, industry directories, Chamber of Commerce listings. Inconsistencies confuse Google. We assess every listing and fix the mismatches.
More reviews, better reviews, and responses that signal engagement to Google. We set up post-service review request flows, write response templates, and help you handle the occasional bad one without making it worse.
Blog posts about South Bay topics your customers search — neighborhood guides, local event tie-ins, area-specific how-to content. Plus outreach to local publications, chambers, and business groups for backlinks that actually carry geographic relevance.
Every retainer that includes local SEO gets these. The depth depends on how many cities you’re targeting and how competitive your market is — a solo service provider covering Redondo and Hermosa needs less than a multi-location practice spanning the whole South Bay.
Cities we serve
Roving Leads is based in Redondo Beach. Services available nationwide — but we’re especially easy to reach if you’re local.
Real questions about content + SEO.
How many blog posts do I get per month?
Depends on tier. Most retainers fall between 2 and 8 posts a month. We’d rather write fewer, better posts that actually rank than spray a bunch of thin content nobody reads. We tell you the exact number on day two.
Why is there a setup or cleanup fee?
Because month one is usually where the mess lives: technical fixes, metadata, schema, site structure, local signals, indexing, old content, and Google Business Profile cleanup. If we bury all that inside a cheap first month, either you get under-served or we get buried. Setup is scoped honestly, then monthly management keeps the system moving.
What’s GEO actually?
Generative Engine Optimization. It’s getting your content cited by AI search engines like Perplexity, ChatGPT search, and Google’s AI Overviews — which work differently than Google’s classic blue links. Most agencies aren’t doing it yet because the playbook is still being written. We are.
What’s AEO?
Answer Engine Optimization. Structuring content so AI assistants extract direct answers from it. Definition blocks, FAQ schema, clean question-answer formatting. The result: when someone asks ChatGPT or Claude about your industry, your content is what gets quoted.
How long until I see results?
Real SEO takes 4–6 months to start showing meaningful ranking changes, especially in competitive markets. Anyone promising “page 1 in 30 days” is selling you ads or doing something that’ll get you penalized. We’ll tell you what’s realistic for your market on day two.
What if I already have a writer or content team?
We can still handle technical SEO, on-page optimization, GEO, AEO, and local SEO without doing the writing. The retainer scopes around what you actually need — talk to us about it on the call.
Do you do link building?
White-hat only — citations, partnerships, guest posts where they make sense. We don’t buy links, run private blog networks, or do anything that puts your site at risk. If a competitor is winning on links you can’t compete with, we’ll tell you that too.
Will my content sound like AI wrote it?
No. Roving Leads uses AI in research, but every post is written and edited to match your voice — using samples we collect during onboarding. The point is to sound like you, not like everyone else’s blog.
