Dave handles strategy, builds, and client work. Dustin is the business partner who keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes. We have been friends for years, and we built Roving Leads because small businesses deserve better than overpriced systems they never really own.

Two things happened at once
OpenClaw and the open-source AI revolution dropped.
OpenClaw helped kick open the door to an open-source AI wave that gave builders like me access to tools that used to require a full dev team. I saw an opportunity: fight back against SaaS greed. One-time licenses. You buy it, you own it. Fair pricing. I was paying those SaaS prices for my own websites and the cost was insane – I knew small businesses were getting hit even harder.
Then UPS gave us a partial layoff after 20 years.
I started reaching out to friends and acquaintances about opportunities. And I realized how many businesses were NOT using AI. Still doing things the traditional way. Wasting money, time, and resources on problems that AI solves in minutes. The South Bay needed someone who would treat them fairly and guide them through it – for their business AND their lives.

Born and raised in Torrance. Grew up between Hermosa, Redondo, and Manhattan Beach – a South Bay kid through and through.
Spent 20 years at UPS running logistics. Spent 10 years barbacking, bouncing, and eventually managing Pitcher House Upper Deck in Redondo Beach – if you were a regular, you probably know me. Still close with the owner, the crew, and the people who made that place what it was.
I’ve been a tech guy since I was a kid. MS-DOS games, programming, Punters for AOL – I’ve always loved tech because it lets you build whatever you want.
When AI hit, I saw two things at once: the ability to finally build my own software company, and a wave of businesses about to get ripped off by agencies charging $5,000/month for things that cost $40 to run. I started Roving Leads to be the honest option.
Two dogs. Two jobs.
Daisy is Dave’s Malinois Shepherd. Best dog ever. She’s a guard dog – her instinct is to protect, watch the perimeter, and keep the pack safe. That’s her job and she’s incredible at it.
Ollie is our illustrated Australian Shepherd. Aussie Shepherds are herding dogs – their instinct is to lead, guide, and keep everyone moving together. Nobody falls behind. Nobody wanders off. The whole pack stays on course.

Roving Leads is based in the South Bay and that’s where most of our clients are, but we work with businesses anywhere. Assessments and most services are delivered remotely – location doesn’t limit what we can do for you.
What happens after the 24-hour research window?
You get a full breakdown of your options – what tools fit your situation, what they cost, and whether you need ongoing management or a one-time setup. Both self-managed and fully-managed options are always presented so you can choose what fits your budget.
Can I just get a one-time setup and manage things myself?
Absolutely. A lot of what Roving Leads does is set up the right tools, train you on how they work, and hand over the keys. If you can run it yourself for $40-$100/month instead of paying someone $5,000/month to do it for you, we’ll tell you that upfront.
Why is the mascot a dog?
